The episode starts with Kosi signing Naman to see Dadimaa coming. She comes infront of Preeti to block her from seeing Dadi. Naman asks Kosi to go and do the ‘important work’. Thapki walks towards Dadi. Kosi calls her and sends her to check if anything fell in the temple. Thapki goes to the temple and puts the vase back. Dadi smiles on seeing Thapki. Kosi ties Dadi's mouth with a cloth and pulls her back. She threatens her and takes her away. She takes her back to the old room and ties her up before asking her not to try to escape again else they'll kill her.
Dadi says, let me reach my house then see what I do. Kosi laughs and says, are you trying to challenge me, I love challenges, my father challenged my mum that she'll give birth to a son, but it's me that was born, I will win even this time... I will take you to Ganesh’s aarti at your house, atleast you'll see Thapki for the last time ’cause she's going to die! Dadi smiles and says, you are mistaken, my Thapki is Lord's favorite, Lord Ganesh will not let misery befall her. Kosi says, another challenge, fine, I will see who saves Thapki this time; Thapki herself, you or Lord Ganesh. She leaves.
Naman tells Kosi that it's 5pm and everything is ready. She checks the ice knife and says, take everyone to the hall, I will take care of Thapki, it will be first time a mother-in-law will do this to her daughter-in-law... Kosi sees Thapki and takes out the ice-knife to throw at her. She aims at Thapki and throws the knife. Wind blows. Thapki sees the diya flickering and goes to save its flame. The ice knife falls outside. Kosi gets angry and hides. She says, this time you got saved but not next time. Thapki comes out to check but does not see anyone. Naman says, Thapki is probably dead by now, I will give them kulfis and confirm it. He asks Sankar to serve kulfis to everyone, he'll go to the kitchen.
Sankar serves kulfis to everyone. She says, have it, Kosi makes good kulfis. She eats one and says, it's good. Vasundara asks for Thapki. Preeti says, she went to her room, she will come, kulfi is awesome, have it. Kosi hides and says, let me see how Thapki will get saved this time! She goes to stab Thapki. Naman comes and stops her. Thapki turns but doesn't see them. She goes. Kosi asks, why did you stop me, Naman? He says, there is just one ice-knife left, any failed attempt will cost us, we will kill her when everyone is busy in aarti. She asks, how? He tells her his plan. She affirms and says, do the arrangements, I challenged Dadi, I will bring her here to witness Thapki's end.
Bihaan says, where is Thapki, everyone has had kulfi. Thapki comes and asks, what happened? He says, you insulted my Maa, who has worked hard to make kulfis for everyone, you wanted to avoid it, right, that's why you didn't come, it's melting. She says, no, you are misunderstanding me, I was coming to have it. She eats the kulfi. He says, you can do whatever you want, and leaves.
Kosi comes with Dadi, whose face is hidden by a face cloth. Thapki asks, who is she? Kosi says, Dadi, I mean like your Dadi, she is my Kaki, I got her here to attend Ganesh's prayer, did I do right? Vasundara says, yes, we will feel our Dadi's precence through her. Suman asks, why is she not speaking? Kosi says, she is deaf and mute, she only moves her head. Preeti says, but she can remove her face mask. Kosi says, she is of old traditions and will only remove the mask infront of the Lord. She takes Dadi along. Thapki asks her to be careful, and holds Dadi. Kosi asks Dadi to walk fast. She takes her to the Lord's idol and makes her see it. She says, I told you I will win this challenge, see, I've already won, now you will see how Thapki goes to heaven. Dadi cries.
Naman ties the remaining ice knife to a rope and hangs it over Thapki's head, then says, when aarti starts, this knife will fall over Thapki, then she will die. Kosi asks Thapki to do the aarti. Thapki does aarti. Kosi signs Naman. He opens the ropes to let the knife fall on Thapki's head. Dadi sees this and gets worried. She tries to free herself.
Dadi pushes the table fan. Thapki moves and the ice knife falls beside. Kosi and Naman get angry on seeing this. Kosi asks Dadi to come, they should be travelling back. Thapki says, wait grandma, and takes her blessings, saying, my Dadi is not here now, your blessings will make me feel a little better. Kosi gets Dadi back to the old room and ties her up. Dadi says, you wanted to win against the Lord but he showed you your place. Kosi says, I will not leave Thapki, it's time to drug Bihaan.
Kosi goes to Bihaan's room and looks for the powder. She sees a piece of cloth there and checks. She says, this is Sankar's scarf, and realizes it's Sankar who took that powder. She shouts, Sankar... get a hot cup of tea to my room. Sankar gets the tea. She says, it's hot, as you requested. Kosi asks her to shut the door behind her then put that cloth in her mouth. She dips Sankar’s hand in the hot tea. She asks, why did you take that medicine from Bihaan's room?
